Dr. Tim Hanson
Dr. Tim Hanson, with 28 years of experience in education, currently
serves as the Superintendent of the Metropolitan School District of
Warren Township, situated on the far Eastside of Indianapolis.
Throughout his career, he has held various roles in six different
school districts spanning Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana. His journey in
education includes stints as a middle school math teacher, athletic
coach, middle school assistant principal, elementary school
principal, and assistant superintendent.
Originally hailing from Kankakee, Illinois, Dr. Hanson is a first-generation college
graduate, emphasizing the transformative power of education. He obtained his
Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University, followed by Master’s Degrees from
the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Hanson
furthered his academic pursuits with a Specialist Degree and a Doctorate from Ball
State University.
Driven by his personal experiences and belief in the importance of education, Dr.
Hanson is committed to offering diverse opportunities and pathways for success to the
students under his care in Warren Township. Through his leadership, he aims to
empower students to achieve their fullest potential and prepare them for a successful
future.
